License Plate Holder

ok guys ive been reading about the window clingers and stickers for the website, but how 'bout a License Plate holder, itd look good, and wouldnt require any adhesive (bad, bad very bad).... and will work (unlike window clingers) if you have your windows tinted, or atleast it will we easy to see

Just a thought, could be kinda cool.

peace

Sounds like a good idea to me! Ive been looking for a frame that will fit correctly for a while now, they all seem to be too thick...

you mean like a license plate frame that goes around the license plate? That's actually a very good idea.

How much would a custom frame cost?

I've looked into getting liscence plate holders made (for something else) and just so you know, the best price I found was $3 per (CDN), but there was a min. order of 100. That was without any plate protector. You can also get them with a built-in clear 'sheild'. I would imagine this would only interest those with vanity plates, and I believe it added $2 (CDN) to the cosat, and again, you would need to order 100.

Someone might know where to get them cheaper, but I'm just passing on the knowledge I have...

Just so long as it's like black plastic or something neutral like that. I hate those cheesey chrome or gold plated engraved ones... they don't last very long either... end up looking like crap in no time. I'd be pretty much looking at spending something like $10 if it was very similar to the black plastic frame that came with the car. Actually, no that I think about it, you can put me down for two

sounds like a pretty big outlay of cash for something like that....if you seriously consider it....I would double check with the maker and verify pricing....then decide what you want to sell them for...and THEN....take orders....I would make sure you get at least enough orders to cover your initial outlay.

You gotta be joking..... CHROME?

I'd prefer sticking to black.

I did a little research and I cant come up with a source for less than 100 at a reasonable price. I wouldnt mind putting up the up-front money but even at a few dollars a piece for 100, thats too much for me to spend on plate frames. I'll head up the order if anybody can find a source that could do it for something reasonable...

What I wont do is order them in chrome...
