I just slapped in a Alpine CDA-7897 in my pro 5. It's running my rear(stock, soon to be replaced) speakers, while my Alpine amp is running my Focal Polykev's in the front doors, all going to a self-powered Infinity Basslink in my hatch. It sounds WAY better than expected. The 7897 has also got a self hiding faceplate for theft deterrance. Highly recommended!

I have the 7894 in my PR5 and it is an unbelievable receiver. I moved it from my protege sedan to my PR5 three weeks ago when i purchased the PR5. I think is is the best-looking receiver out there (along with other alpine receivers). For $325, that is a great price and I bet you will be 100% satisfied with your purchase. I think is gives pleanty of power without the need for amps to power your speakers unless you are using more than 4?
