JL Bumps

I jus got back from "Tweeter" (audio/video store). Bought my JL 10WO in a sealed box. They call it the PowerWedge looks like this

Its recommended rms is 125. im pushin 300 to it RMS 600 Max on my Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X201T amp. It sounds great. This lil sub BUMPS in the trunk. Now for some Dynomatting!!!

JL UNDER RATES their Amps and Subs Tremendiously. THe guy who sold it to me, has 3 10W0 in his gfs car with a 1000watt amp. and none of em have blown.

so take my word for it...if u want something inexpensive and hits. get the JL powerwedge. Paid $178 out the door including tax.

good to know! I was looking at the same PowerWedge. Question though, what deck are you using? The stock deck or an aftermarket deck?

I have a Pioneer Premier DEH-P740MP Unit. i think its 3.5v Preout. It has 3 preouts. and a High Pass Crossover for the Speakers ihave it set on 50hrz, and the sub is also set on the Built in sub output crossover at 50hrz + 2. IT sounds great. the Headunit is execellent and very easy to use. I strongly reccomend this unit. The JVC SH99 is jus as good, (groharlem) has it. Also sounds awsome, and easy to use too.

jl subs are good stuff, but later, maybe you'll swap the w0 for a w3?

i would have to agree with one hawaii on that one. I myself have been faithfull to jl audio eversince i have been doing car audio. If you think the w0's sound nice you might want to consider moving up to the w3v2 for even better quality sound; and if you have a lil more money to spend maybe even go for the w6v2 or the w7's.

The power wedges are really nice though, i use to have one in my old system.
Hope you enjoy your new set up.

JL is bad ***. I have 2 JL 10s. they are w3s. and a pheonix gold 2300 pushing them. They may not seem like much compared to the million dollar competition speakers, but I can sure wake up the neighbors on the way home!

I pick up my new system upgrades tomorrow....and the JL Audio CS110R-W0 that you got is one of my new components....I am pushing my system with an Alpine Amp, and Rockford Fosgate speakers in all the doors...the system kicks ***. It isn't something to go to compitiations with...but it sure rocks my P-5 like no other system I have ever had before.

JL does not over rate their subs. They rate them exactly to their standards.

JLs subs are rated to the power that they will begin to break down at at 8 hours of continous use.

play a 10W0 for 8 hours continous at 125 watts and it will begin to fail. PLay it for 20 minutes at 300 watts and it won't give a damn.

Thumbs up

JL rules! I have a set of XR components (love 'em) and 12" w0 sub in a sealed box and even though I'm only giving it like 150w rms the damn thing pounds, when I turn up the volume I can feel the pressure in my chest, good stuff

I have had JL almost since the beginning, I have the 10W6 which has since changed and a set of 10w1's these things can go thru hell and back and still pound.
Anyone have any Planet Audio or used Planet Audio?

I don't know you should see the JL 1000/1 in action. Even my revs drop to 400 when it gets going. 1 12W7 was SO LOUD, I can't wait to get the new subs too. Oh yeah did I mention I switched to JL amps, XTANT FOR SALE.
