jl audio

is there anyone in the dfw area that could get me the hook up on jl audio equipment. the only play i've found on the internet that has all of jl audio equipment is purecaraudio.com, but they want alot for shipping. i would get any warranty from the internet either. I won't be able to purchace the equipment for a while, but just wondering if there was a place out there that has really good deals compared to places like car toys
thanks

I got my 300/2 and tripple 6 W0 PowerWedge box from my local authorized JL dealer. I felt the price was fair enough, and the two year warranty is certainly a plus.

When it came time for me to upgrade my mid/high amp, I was set on a 300/4 from JL. My local shop really couldn't do a pricing structure I was happy with. So, off to the internet I went (I know all about no warranty, and the risks involved.)

I ended up with a sweet deal from www.sonicelectronix.com Product came new in the box, and works perfect. There is no serial number (this is to be expected.) I called them, as the paperwork that came with the amp states you need to give them a serial number for warranty repair. They assured me this is no problem on JL equipment purchased thru them. I also asked how long they've been in business.... 4 years was the response. The guy I spoke to seemed genuine, but who knows. Hopefully this amp will work out (if not, I learned my leason!)

If you can get a deal local from an authorized rep, do so. If not, give Sonic a try.

i know most ppl like round vs oval, but jl's xr line sports a nifty 5x7 component set, which should fit nicely into the stock location of ur 5.

just thought i'd throw that lil tidbit in there.

edit: if you think this is alot of money, you should look at their normal price

JL Audio equipment

No AUTHORIZED JL Audio dealer is going to offer the prices you are asking for.

JL Audio is only authorizing in-store sales for all warranty items which mean. You pay JL Audio Retail prices.. You can almost always expect to pay $1.00/Watt when buying amps..

JL Audio is top-of-the-line equipment.. You will not find it cheaper then RF or Sony, which by the way SUCK in my opinion.

You want the best of the best, you pay for it. It is well worth it expecially when you are buying a W7 Woofer...

My JL Audio system is planned & will cost approx $4500 in my P5..

Don't short change yourself, and when planning your system NEVER forget cost of custom placement of components, boxes!!!!!

WIRING!!!!..

With a W7, if you don't have a perfect box you have a JLW0 Sub..

i've got a friend at a jl dealer who is gona give me those prices at his discount i'm considering wiring and materials, i've got it all planed out and priced, i just not going to list it all. its gona run me about 100 for wiring and around 50 for my box/amp rack idea.

edit: the w7 will be in a sealed box so its kinda hard to screw up, also, there is no cost for custom component mounting b/c there is not cost to drill a hole in my door. i also am putting a layer of edead throughout the entire car and have 2 batterys as well. if these images don't work, then go here http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4290964007 and look at pic 39 and 40

$50 for a box is kinda low, but hey man if you can get JL Audio equipment at dealer cost.. That is awesome and more power to you.. Wanna hook me up with some equipment..

You can screw up a sealed box.. AND REMEMBER this is a W7 your messin with.. It best be damn SEALED, because you could blow the box apart from all the pressure if done right..

I recommend a MINIMUM of 1" material..

Car will sound sweet, when you get it done..

The $50 I would assume is for the materails.
The W7 is reccomended by JL to be in a double 3/4" baffled sub box or a 1" thick al around box.
