Alright now I have to defend...myself here! I have the exhasut but mine sounds more like a camaro than a bee. And true the fake little stickers suck, but spending money on exterior and interior rather than engine is okay fine with me! lol. I am doing it b/c I dont want to race my car and I have come to terms with the fact that it is slow I am working on my exterior(body kit, Lexus IS300 tail lights and such) so I can show it off and announce my originality! The interior is still stumping me but I will get to that. Eventually I am going to invest in a nice cold air intake from injen and the strut and sway bar and I am going to dress my engine up so I have something to show when I raise that hood but as far as NOS or ZEX goes no thanks! And I have seen plenty of body kits with gaps again! THAT IS JUST PEOPLE BEING CARELESS WITH THIER CAR! And sadly a lot of these cars get in shows and beat other cars *shutter*
Ok, I think I worded it all wrong....and you are right..if you want the best interior, go for it. I'd do it. I had big plans for my interior and body kits of my own design, but I decided to hold off until I get a new car. I think you said it right the first time about advertising what it's not. The post I made was just my 2 cents but hey it's just me.

You are right BL_Protege. That is the real mccoy. Currently there are 5 Skylines in Washington. 4 of them are owned by the owners of the local speed shop. I believe that most of their vehicles received a lot of Coverage during the HIN in Seattle.

In another thread, I think I explained what rice was...

But here it goes again....My definition of Rice.

The badging of symbols on a vehicle that currently does not have any of the items installed. Lets take the Kia for example. If they had left of the badging, then I would say very nice, that owner did a wonderful job in modifying the body of their vehicle. But, that changed when he glued on a GTR, which is associated with Nissan, AMG side names, which belong to Mercedes and a V8 for a V4 engine bay.

But if he had taken a V8 and put it into a 4 banger...I would just call that nuts

Rice?

I have a '91 323 and am in the middle of swapping a 1.8L DOHC BP engine into it and had a badging idea and wanted to see what you guys think. Since the engine is from a Ford Escort GT/Protege GT(same as LX in US), I was thinking of putting some sort of a "323 GT" badge on it. It seems like a very cool idea to me, but I wanna get someone else's opinion. I would hate to advertise something I don't have, and with this I wouldn't be, since it is in fact a GT engine, just that a 323 GT doesn't actually exist. For me, that's the main reason why I wanna do it. Let me know what you think.

Because the engine is being swapped, I would not call it rice. But because the engine in not visible and you are going to badge it as such...it probably be considered rice.

You are pretty much walking down a thin line....but if it makes you feel better and proud of your machine...do it.

Don't care about our opinions...it is what you feel that makes it right.
