i just purchased 2018 mazda3. yey!
When I try to connect my ipod to it thru USB, it would the album that was selected in ipod at the moment of connection. but I am unable to scroll through other albums via mazda3 controls and my ipod is locked since it is connected. In order to change the album, i would have to disconnect the ipod, select when I want, plug it back up.

any way around it?

<I can see mazda3 doing it on purpose so that you listen to only one album as you drive vs taking your attention off the road while scrolling you ipod. I agree, but it would have been nice to be able to do it as you are stopped>
