I have a magnetic bra for my wife's car. I've used it on hot days with no problem.

The instructions that came with my bra said to wax the hood before using and to not use the bra on a brand new car - as the paint needs up to 60 days to fully cure.

I'd guess that the bra would prevent the remaining moisture in the paint from drying, causing problems.

If you've done both of these things, I'd check with whoever made your bug bra. I got mine from magnabra and they guarantee that their bra won't damage paint.

Probably a good idea to get some input from an auto body shop too. Sounds like there is paint damage. They might have some insight into how it happened, or what needs to be done to fix it.
