I did it !!

Hi everyone,

I just finished hooking up my system. It sounds soo good. Two MTX 10" 6000's and a MTX 4250D amp off a Kenwood KDC 7011 head unit. I love it. I would like to say thank you to everyone. This board was a big help. I am also proud to say that i spent 0$ on installation. Right now my box is just sitting there with the amp on top, and my head unit is on the passenger's seat.....i got a metra dash kit from circuit city and it is ooogly. So i'm waiting for my scosche one from crutchfield. Next weekend some time i'm gonna lie the box down flat and recarpet it and make it flush with the interior of the trunk. i'll try to get pics when i'm done. Thanks again !

Yar it does. I like the MTX Class D. When i got it in the mail, I was like, wow, this is really small. But dont let that fool you, it puts out a good amount of thump, w/ very little power. I love my pro, such a nice car...

I dont have a spec sheet for it...i got it used from ebay. I was a little worried about it, but it turned out to be ok. I know a place tho, that i bought my subs from, two for 80 bucks plus 30 for shipping. THey are a really good place, i was very happy with their service. THeir phone number is 217-877-2775. I talked to Josh. He said they are selling 4250D amps for 100 bucks. Not bad...i payed 60 for a used one. They are really nice. What would u be running off it ?

Hahaha.. I got the Metra kit from Circuit City and sat down in my car.. Opened it up and went "Nope, I don't like it" and took it back. Got my Scosche kit about a week later when it was delivered from Sounddomain and it works great!.

Nothing like the satisfaction you get from doing a good install on your own car, congrats bro.

I too got rid of the ugly Metra kit for the Scosche one at Crutchfield and like the look much better. I may go with my in dash Kenwood crossover so I can control slopes and boosts from up front. We'll see!!
