there is no info at all
all he has on his page is a list of his components... amp, sub, etc.

I did not receive anything today The package should have been here by now... USPS priority takes 3 days at most. 5 days have passed already dammit...

I know the feeling. I waited about 2 or 3 weeks for mine, but I had it shipped UPS Ground. They were just new from the previous production and prototype pics were all that were posted. I was actually surprised when they did come in. That install looks pretty sweet. I wonder if he used sone flex gray so that any neon would bring it out for show and give it a more custom look. It would be interesting as to why he switched though and if there are any regrets.

What sucks is if I do get another amp, it will be either an Avionixx or Tsunami. I could have gotten a package deal when purchasing my two 12K.44s . Maybe they will work some thing out since I just have had them for about a month. I hear good things about their customer service.

Well, it sucks because I chose USPS Priority mail and that usually takes 3 days max.

The guy with the Sonata changed his sub. Supposedly the A is better than the K, so maybe he decided that he would pay more for a "better" sub and put it in a smaller, sealed enclosure so that it performs just like the K in a vented box. That's just my theory though.

I am thinking about putting a neon in my box. I have to look for something really slim. I plan on attaching it vertically inside the vent, just around the first corner, so that it is not visible, but the light is. I don't want it to be very bright at all. I will position it so only a slight glow is visible through the opening of the vent. I don't want it to have the properties of a "black light" either...

Sort of like this, but blue... or purple.. or something.....

This is my PC

why dont you try LED's instead of a neon bar. IDK just questioning.

Looks like an electric guitar, oh you mean look at the computer! kidding of course. that would look pretty cool but it may affect the physics of the box by blocking the port somewhat. You can stick a neon tube under the rear deck and have it shine down on your sub. As long as you can't see the tube, neon makes things look cool. Personally I don't have any, but thought of doing it inside the car except I am having problems with the lights dimming already. That would dim too!!

I thought about that... I would have to drill an X number of holes in the panel though. More work, a greater chance for error, etc... Also, I have 3 blue LEDs on my fan control panel and all three were bought from the same store at the same time... the problem with them is that they all have different shades of blue! I guess Radioshack sells only crap...

I will further investigate this matter. Actually it is a very good idea because the LEDs will be recessed and won't take any valuable space...

Blocking the port is my main concern. This is why I want a very slim light.

Well, my problem with neon is that it is too much "in your face" type of thing, too many people use it, etc. and besides, it will be signifficantly brighter than what I want to achieve with the hidden port light. I want something extremely subtle. I may go for the LEDs if I don't find an ultra-slim "cold cathode" light (like the one in my PC).

that's an old picture I happen to have. I wouldn't have put the guitar there if I had to take a new one to show you the light

I was just sayin b/c i was thinking of neon lighting first for mah car but then i was also thinking about LED's. Cuz i heard they last longer and use less power but are bright as hell.

yep, they are VERY efficient. their brightness does not concern me at all. I can use a pot. to regulate it and get exaclty what I look for. the problem is drilling enough holes so that I can put enough LEDs, so that I can achieve an uniform spread of light just as if I had a bar type of a light source.

I would have to experiment a lot. I can do it, I feel like doing it, but it will be more expensive, because one blue LED is about $2 at Radioshack.. I'm gonna need at least 10 of those. A cold cathode light at the local computer store or at Fry's costs only $12 and all I have to do is attach it to the panel. We'll see...

One more idea... My brother has a sound activated light in his PC case. If I use one of those, I could adjust it so that it will light up only when the bass hits or... the intensity of the light will increase along with the loudness of the bass, etc... That would be cool, but noone will see it in the trunk.

I would get neon inside, but I don't go to shows or have friends with aftermarket systems in their cars. Besides, I am 31 years old so I need to save up for a walker. I never was big on neon on the outside of the vehicle, but it looks okay on the inside when done right. Pet peeve is seeing cars with "visible" neon tubes that are not tucked away under their cars.
