help with indash DVD

well heres what i wanna do... everything related to audio/video is stock in my car right now. i would like to get an indash DVD player with about a 7inch screen built in. i dont want to have to buy all kinds of different pieces. i just want one indash unit that can do all of this. any suggestions on models, places to buy, and prices would be great. thanks.

Pioneer has a nice all in one unit CD/DVD/CDR w/6.8" screen.
AVX-P7300DVD
MSRP = $1850.00

Dunno if Navi is on your list as well, but this Pioneer system is a nice one. I've installed 4 or 5 of these so far and they work awesome.
NAV-SYS900DVD
MSRP = $3300.00

I've been thinking of asking the same thing, however, my question has a twist:
If I want to replace the head unit in my forthcoming Mazdaspeed Protege, is there a single-DIN unit that has:
DVD
CD
motorized screen (16:9 preferable)
AM/FM tuner
video in/out
MP3 playback
I think the Kenwood unit comes close, but why doesn't it play MP3s?

Well, I know the one I want now: the Eclipse AV8132. Completed eBay auctions for it here and here. It's not cheap, but it might be the best "do everything" unit out there. I've had Eclipse stuff before and really liked it. More info on the Eclipse web site.

What I would do if I were you guys is buy an mp3 capable deck and then buy the KENWOOD Z911 DVD/TV which is also a touch screen that way you have 2 units but you have every possible feature in your car; MP3, DVD, CD, TV the whole works!! Just my two pennies!!

I definitely want only one unit. The other DIN slot will have gauges in it.

dont get the clarion system with touch screen, the middle layer of the 3 on the screen wears out and then you cant use the touch screen, and there isnt much control w/o it. plus the picture isnt as good or have a nice X/Y side view. panasonic was rated best picture and they last. just fyi.

u can get a panasonic in-dash 7" widescreen lcd for only $230

u can get a decent car dvd player for around $100

u'll have to put dvd player in dash or in glove box, but for the price savings, i'd think it's well worth it
