Headlight

Hmmm I'm in the process of changing the headlight bulbs for my 99 ES... HEEEEELLLPPPPPP! I cant seem to take it out????! Do you pull the whole black rubber??????? GRrrr

I'l try to help out althought I don't own an 99 Pro but a 5, but I think they are similar if not the same.

You basically pull the black rubber thingy out, where you will see a clip, unfasten the clip then take the bulb out noting the orientation of the bulb. Then you your new bulb back inside in the same orientation as the stock bulb, aligning the notchs (the 2 or 3 things that stick out of th base of the bulb) with the headlight assembly, then you refasten the clip making sure the headlight is secure then put the black thing back on. Repeat for the other headlight.

Your instruction manual should also have instructions.

it's not in the manual.. has everything on how to change the other bulbs except for the headlight.. weird!

jsut undo the clip and the bulb comes out. it may take alil presurre to get the clip out but it isnt that hard. other wise, like i did take it to the dealer they were more than happy to do mine for free.

Yes, it is in the manual. You people have to look harder. But if you have the same setup as I do on my 97, you have to unplug the wires first. Then there is a metal clip that is connected to a hook. It is gets undone easy, but in a rather weird motion. Look it up in the manual, it is all there!
