Someone mentioned a heavy plastic hatch liner designed to protect the carpet when you have to put nasty stuff like bags of compost, mulch, etc, in the back of the car.

Any idea where to order this? I did a search, but I couldn't find any info.

Probably easiest is through a Mazda dealer in your area - it's a Mazda accessory.

I think there's actually a picture of it in the brochure if you still have a copy.

 

try Mazdastuff.com its a dealer in Austin Texas....but if you are out of state you save sales tax...and YES the do mail order.....do this...go to their site....check THEIR price for cargo matt....then call up YOUR LOCAL DEALER and check the price with them...

I just did this for the bra....MY local dealer wanted $124.....NOW, I live in TEXAS...SO I get to pay the sales tax....and it was STILL cheeper to not only pay the tax...but shipping too!! my total was only $109!!

I made my own. It isn't a heavy plastic but it is doing a good job of keeping it looking good. I bought enough rubber floor mat to cover the entire bottom of the hatch. Took out the spare tire cover, traced it onto the floor mat and cut it out with scissors. Cost about $25cnd (which is practically free in USD). Ghetto? Maybe, but it does the job.

I ordered the bra and it was cheaper and arrived fast...

Then the rear bumper cargo protector and same thing cheap and fast..

They rock....Mazda does make the part that custom fits

 

Whoa, the cargo tray is $45 through Mazdastuff, which just happens to be the dealer down the street from me!
