Angry Got my stereo stolen last night

So I heard someone knocking on ym door at 4:55 am. I slowly work my way downstairs and it is my neighbor who was one her way to work letting me know that my car window was busted out. I go take a look and sure enough, my window is busted and a quick peak inside the car reveals that the center console was hanging all torn up and my 3 months new Panasonic gone. Figures as well, one of the few times I forgot to take off my removable faceplate. So let that be a lesson. Funny thing is that they left my amp and subwoofer in the trunk. I'll post pictures later.

Thats a good thing, you can claim all the damages on your insurace given you have it. To tell you the truth i wish someone would steal my cd player or scratch up my rims.

Same thing happened to my buddy a few weaks ago, what made him feel like leaving his faceplate on in Roxbury I have no idea.

Take the face plate or get an eclipse so you don't have too.

Damn that sucks. Sorry. When we first moved out here (We'd only been here about a month) the head unit, sub, amp, EVERYTHING was jacked up out of our GTI. The insurance would only cover the HU though b/c it was the only thing "bolted down" I feel for you.

Also: Check some of the pawn shops-- that's usually the first place stolen stuff shows up.

Actually that will depend upon the insurance you have- most require an additional rider for aftermarket stereo hardware in a car, and even then have a limit. Mine requires an additional 75.00 each six months per car, and has a 4000.00 limit. In the Nissan that means it is in the shop out back all the time unless I am driving it. Same for the RX-7 in the garage just for weather issues ( I winter it), leaving the Protege out front most of the time. Currently only about 2K in stereo in it though.
I hate to say it but thiefs will end up with just about anything they want, most are just like what happend to you, smash, grab, and run. They don't want to take the time to risk getting caught trying to rip an amp, and subs are hard to run with.
Sorry to see this happened, it truely sucks. I have zero tolerence for folks who want to short cut having to work for what they want.
