i've been looking on ebay for some carbon fiber hoods for my friends 00 tiburon and 02 sentra. i have found auctions listed by this company titled "G3". their feedback rating is good overall. and i asked for a group buy for some carbon hoods and they want 400 dollars per hood and a donor hood. not bad, let me know what you guys think. oh yeah this is a u.s. dealer, maybe that'll help too.
here's what they had to say:

You have certainly found the right place. We are a manufacturer of carbon fiber hoods for domestic and imports.

Here are the terms and conditions:

All group buys require a minimum order of 15 pieces.

If this is a custom group buy, you must provide us with a new stock hood for fabrication.

You must be responsible for collecting the payment for us and sending us the lump sum via USPS Money Order.

All orders must be paid in advance. Our design team would need 30 business days to develop the first protype.

The prices for 15 OEM style Carbon Fiber Hood will be $399.00 ($270.00 + $129.00 Shipping & Handling). Regular group buys at $350 each ship and $260 each for pick up.**Prices may vary.**

Free aluminum hood pins are included, which normally cost $34.95 at retail price.

All carbon fiber hoods are shipped through Airborne Express via ground service with an estimated delivery time of 5-7 business days.

this is the third company to offer hoods... not sure if you know or not but there is currently a group buy of 8 guys including myself in the forsale section for a carbonfiber hood.... although i must admit that the free hoodpins and the fact that its 400 including shipping is really nice... not sure what to do you should talk to bruce and kdawgone about this

of course i know about the group buy. i'm part of it too!lol
but this place is definitely worth looking into. 400 dollars shipped? also from a u.s. company based in california. we don't have to deal with can. currency is also a benifit.

1 problem , is we would have to scrounge up an extra 5 people...

I aggree with Bruce. To get the TEN people we needed, we had to go and email people from SOUNDDOMAIN pages!!!! It was almost impossible! If it wasnt for Corksport picking up the last two hoods we needed, we wouldnt even be able to have ten.
As far as dealing with CDN currency...you dont have to! Just send the American equivalnt (ie $150 USD check). We DO have banks here in Canada and they can switch the money over.
Even if we couldnt, how hard is it to go to your bank and ask to withdraw $600 CDN????

oh yeah, not to mention the fact that $400 USD is $560 CDN which is about the same price as the XR8ED Lidds price.
Then, you go figure that about $150 USD is for shipping (It would be an oversized, ground rate), that would make it a $250 CUSTOM HOOD??? Something doesnt seem right about that....

I wonder, is the group buy already done? I'm somehwat interested and I can easily get some money through my next check and i can possibly get a loan from my dad before i go to college. Hit me up with the answers when you guys get a chance. Thanks alot
