Gauge swap
Gauge swap
Like some others on this site, i tried to install new gauge covers and broke my temp needle. Instead of getting a new black cluster like my car came with, i was able to get a used cluster w/ white gauge faces. I know that ever since some time in the 90's it was required that mileage be stored in the computer, but my new cluster read the mileage from the previous owner, not my own miles. everything else on the cluster worked fine, but i just plugged my old cluster back in and have the new one sitting around. does any one know how to fix this little problem, or even if it is fixable?
I dont think it is possible to change the mileage on the new cluster you will have to leave it as it is. I ended up changing my cluster for the same reason, but in my case i went from 105,000km to 65,000 on my new cluster
