gauge cluster... how to remove?

mmm, i tried to remove my gauge cluster and i was successful up to a certain point. i unscrewed a whole mess of stuff, was able to remove the outer cover, unhooked the electronics in back to the cruise control/defroster/etc, and then all i had left was the gauges, with the plastic in front of it. i could not remove this at all, and i checked around but i still dont know how to take this off. so i still have the gauge, w/ the plastic on it. so... anyone know what to do now?
