G3 Protege/Protege5 Kits/Harnesses

BESTKITS.COM has announced that they have a mounting kit and wiring harness available for G3 proteges. I tried contacting them about where to buy, cost and any other details but they might have been closed for the day. I will try back tomorrow.

I know some people have been interested on kits and harnesses for the proteges. Thought they might be interested.

Since we're of the topic.... blue LEDz, how do you get that little picture of your headlights to appear under your name on all your posts? Is that a time based thing, or post based, or am I just overlooking something...?

There are several crimping sets that a re better then soilder. A local shop, Rich's car tunes has a $400 set of crimpers assigned to each installer. These are the same used by NASA and you can hang an 80 IB puncing bag with 12 guage wire and 1 crimp. The install school I went to had a bag hung like this for over 6 months before the wire gave in not the crimp. Also Snap-on has a set of crimps that does a great job on normal insulated crimps. The only problem I see in crimps is some people use a non-insulated crimp tool on insualted crimps, which can cuase several problems.

That type of heat shrink is why I love the monster cable wiring kits they give you several peice to seal up the connections under the hood.
