I was going to sell it but decided not too. Nobody wanted to put up enough money to get it past the reserve i had set it at. Im happy i kept it. I'm thinking about going with a gsr swap and going allmotor but i'll have to wait and see, because going all motor is going to be a lot of work, and a lot more money out of my pocket.

Just curious, but how much were you asking? A friend of mine has a '94 civic hb with the B-18c (whatever came in the Integra Type R). He said it was crazy fast, but he's getting rid of it now in favor of an RSX-s...

I love the CRXs...

$8500 is what i was asking for it. The B18c5(type-r) engine is crazy fast. I want to go with a gsr swap and throw some type-r cams and maybe down the road go with a stroker kit to kick it up from 1.8 liters to 2.0 liters.

Sorry for highjacking your thread....

But it's amazing how the CRXs hold their value. You can't find a good condition one for less than like $1500. And they all have like 170k on them. All the sub-$1000 ones are beat to ****, and rusty... They're awesome project cars, but the initial cost is pretty steep. I've looked

Back on topic: This should probably be in the for sale forum

that would be a serious motor ...
oddly enough it wouldn't cost much either ..
---------------------

funk you can pick up a civic hatch , like 90-91 or so , for like 800 and up ... I have seen one for 700 this lady was selling .. when I was looking for a whoptie....
If I am not mistaken any B-series motor will fit in that

the best swap for 1/4 mile wise would have to be an H22A swap from the prelude. The cost is well worth it to have a monster engine like that in a crx or 88-91 civic hatch with the power to weight ratio. theres only one bad thing about the swap and that is the handling because of the weight of the h22 on the front end. thats why i want to go with the gsr swap since it's still going to be a daily driver.

not to say that you're asking too much for your CRX but a buddy of mine has an '89 CRX SI that he's turboed, just got it painted, put a kit and rims on, and hes asking 3,500 for it. But your's does look like you've put a lot of money and time into it, your CRX looks really good by the way!

Thanks, that means a lot. The only reason I had it for sale for that much is because I did most of the work myself. But I ended up staying with my crx and I am really happy I did because I have been whooping *** at Sac Raceway here in Cali.

Going with the GSR is good cause there is more aftermarket support for it than the h22a. Also the gsr is way lighter like you said.

Why not do a b20, vtech, then go all motor from there. Got the 2.0 L already, then if you want bore out to 2.2. Same liters, as h22a, just alot lighter.

I dunno just an idea

Like the CRX by the way......

That is a good idea, plus the B20 has more torque and with a GSR head or even a type-r head it would "decimate all". I'm glad you brought that to my attention because now that option is right there with a gsr swap. But no matter what, I am going with the gsr tranny. I'm going to start taking the crx to shows after I do something with the interior. What color should I go with interior wise.
