A few pics of my setup so far...

Alright, well I finally got my lazy *** to develop some pictutes, and scanned em up and ****.

First you gotta have the esential power feeding your system. A yellow top Optima, spitting out 1/0 guage to a 160 amp circuit breaker here......

Next we have the HU, my baby, an in-dash 6 disc Eclipse player. And a fat *** little potentiometer I put in to be able to control the levels of my subs through my EQ......

And here's a shot my amps, and EQ. All Phoenix Gold ****, I love PG power, and all my wiring is PG stuff too. The sub is puttin out about 900-1000 watts running 1-ohm mono. And my mid-amp is pushing about 500 to my MB Quart components (I forgot to take a picture of those, but I have 6.5"'s and tweets in all the doors). The sub amp is feed by 2 guage power, and mid amp has 4 guage. I'm working on fabbin up a shroud to dress it up alittle back there, and hide all the wires.....

And finally here's the funk in the trunk. A ported box containing three 10" JL Audio W3 woofers. I still have a little trunk space, at least enough of a trunk for what I need, I can get my golf clubs back there.

Well there ya go, so far. Mainly some cosmetic stuff I'm gonna work on now, but it sounds killer, and it measures in at 146.3 db now. Questions, comments, and **** talking all welcome.

Looks great!

just 2 things, i see the stock power wires not completely inserted into the + battery connector, that could pose a problem. And i would like to see the wiring cleaned up just a little. Overall, if it sounds as good as it looks, your set.

Well thanks, yeah like I said, I'm workin on a shroud to hide the rest of the wires in the back. I don't like all the wires exposed either. But you can't see anything when the seats are up, so for everyday stuff its fine, but for show its yuck. ANd I really don't care about shows anyway, but I am gonna clean it up. But as for the stock power wire, it is inserted all the way, its just the sleeve around it that looks like its hangin out, there is no exposed copper wire.

looks good sweeden. i like the sub box... funny tho, you'd think a hatch would have more space than what the p5 has, huh? if i didn't build my box high i would have no space whatsoever.

Heh thanks. And yeah I can't drive with it turned up all the way for very long. It does make stop lights and stuff shake too bad (vision wise). Plus its just hard to focus on driving when its up loud. I usually drive about 1/2 to 3/4's volume depending upon what type of mood I'm in, and what kinda music I'm listening to. But I defintely crank up the ICP if I pull up to a stop light, and some tool is next to me trying to bump some bitch-*** Feminem. WICKED CLOWNZ FOR LIFE!!!!!

Hah hell yeah ninja, now you're talking. "WHO'S GOIN CHICKEN HUNTIN?.......WE'S GOIN CHICKEN HUNTIN!!!!!!"

But jeeeezus man 164, its beyond pain. That is undriveable. At around 155 db I beleive you start to have troubles breathing. The loudest thing I ever was close to was the PPI bronco at a CES show in Vegas. That thing hit 171, and they would not let anyone sit in it, cause it would make their heart stop or some **** like that.

Nice Nice and and Nice- Did I mention nice?

Great looking install, but we all expected that of you!!

I have never had much use for true rednecks, but truth be known, there were (and still are I suppose) some in the military who were the only folks I ever wanted to cover my back when the sh_t started.
I have to admit my age here, the Insane Clown Possie is not a group I have been exposed to much in my sheltered life. But I have heard of them if that counts for anything!!

Well the battery was $137, and since I got some homies at this stereo shop I was able to work with them on it and think I paid about $100 for it. As for the amps heh, well don't laugh but those amps are old school, and I mean OOOLLLLDDDD SCHOOL. I have had those amps since ohh 1996. And they a frickin bulletproof. My sub amp is a Phoenix MPS2500, and the mid is the MPS2240. They don't make that line anymore, and I don't understand why, to me the MS and MPS series were some of the best amps that Phoenix GOld ever put out. So for the price, well back then you paid about a buck a watt. I paid $900 for the 2500, and $500 for the mid amp. And I am seriously not joking when i say those amps are unfreakinbreakable, that 2240 I used to have originally running a pair of JL Audio W5 subs at 1 ohm mono. I ran that for about a year, then I got a hold of the 2500, and ran three 12" W6's with it, and kicked the 2240 to my mids. So for about 5 and a half years now that 2500 has been pumping out the juice at 1 ohm mono and never once even though about thermaling, or blowing fuses or anything. I really honestly can't say enough about how much I love those amps. I used to go to stereo comps and smoke people all the time cause I could enter the 0-100 watt classes with my amps, and be pumping out around 1300-1400 watts. The only reason I have never upgraded is because, well I think I just said why, those amps are frickin awesome, and until they blow or can't make a system that is 140+ db then I will get new ones. I think all in all in my car I have about $3500-$4000 of equipment.

HU - $750
Sub amp - $900
Mid amp - $500
Door speakers - $650
Subs - $700
Eq/X-over - $200
Battery - $130
Wire & connectors - easily over $300 (1/0, and 2 guage is freakin expensive by the foot)
Box - $100
Install - $0, I do it

So actually that's around 4300 or so. Jesus, it kinda sucks when you stop and think how much damn chedda you can sink into a system. But I wouldn't trade it for anything. Stereo is waaayyyy more important to me than engine mods and what-not.

Did i mention I like my Phoenix Gold amps?

Oh heeh thanks Dave.
