engine dress up question
i have a question for you guys....im in the midst of dressing up my engine bay and i have a red p5...im going to get an optima deep cycle battery yellow top...there is nothing in my engine bay that is yellow...everything under the hood is red hoses, wire looms, a couple of polished stuff and a silver intake...if i get the yellow top, i was thinking of getting yellow hoses and wire looms and yellow sparkplug wires...would that color scheme of yellow/red/and silver/polish be too tacky...thanks for your input guys!!!

Ron, That's a hard one to decide upon, get something that is the same color of the OPTIMA color and see how it looks with the other colors in your engine compartment.......
Say, did you get your B & M Short Shifter installed.....? If so, how do you like it?

Hey, people have already been calling my car the Hulk Hogan mobile because of the yellow and red scheme. There was also another crack about being the mustard and ketchup scheme. Needless to say those I brushed off. The comments not the guys .
I also had silver pipes for my Ractive intake and did not like it so I had it powder coated red to match my scheme. Here are a couple shots. I think I will be going with the stainless steel braided coverings for the hoses with the red ends and that I think would not be so overpowering plus look sharp.

ledZ - me LOVES the wakeboarding!!
I haven't done it in a few seasons, because my buddy's boat hasn't been set up for it lately (he does plenty of offshore fishing, so either the boat is being fixed all the time, or he's got a "long distance" prop that gives the boat no acceleration, and burns tons of fuel in "stop-and-go" - like starting in fifth gear), but DAMN it's fun!
I was just getting my "spins" down when he started with the prop-swapping. ****** - don't he know I was working on a flat 360 with a clean handle transfer?
I'm hoping I can find a place to 'board while on my honeymoon in Cancun - I'm dying to get the wife to try it....

Don't really remember the coldest I've ever been, but it hasn't been unheard of to wake up to temps in the -36-38C range before wind chill..
Makes for some cold *** days cuz you never really warm up, you know?

Skyhawk: Your intake looks AWESOME!!, I to have a vivid yellow P5, and was considering just what to do with my engine compartment.......... I might have to "boost" a few of your idea's!
To Rawny: It was a nice suprize to see you here in San Jo, hey I'm seriously considering getting an "intake like yours" and, possibly having it painted like the above post, what do you think?
