diamond audio component

this is a pretty specific question but i hope there are some self-installers out there that can help... i recently purchased a component system from diamond audio... the motosport 66.1's ( 6 in. middle class model). i am having a very hard time taking apart the tweeter for the installation into the car door panel. they seem to have automatically connected two crucial parts that a screw needs to be in-between for the mounting. if anyone has dealt with this problem your help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

With my Boston Acoustics Pro 5.4s, the tweeter "twists" off from the housing on the bottom. You have to hold the bottom piece (plastic round piece) when twisting the tweeter off of the mount. It was probably used in an existing system which is why it was like that. You should have other plastic pieces for various mounting options (flush, angle, top-mount). If this isn't the case, I would go to their website and go to support.
