decal question

i have an APC window decal that i want to put on my front window at the top, but i have a question. i live in new hampshire and i was wondering if the decal covers up the inspection sticker, is it illegal, cause here in nh the inspection stickers are right at the top of the window.
peace.

"Live free or die", right? You should be free to do what you want to your car.

I would not cover up the state inspection tag, because you will get pulled over.

IMO, APC devalues your car i see a lot of hondas in here in Oregon and they have apc all over their car and there always the shittiest beat cars youve ever seen. APC is like kragen/shucks, pep boys, and gi joes (oregon only store i think?) performance parts.

main stickers that **** me off... the type-R bullshit and type-S badging..., Super Street, Fear This!, and those ****** biohazard warning symbols. i mean, it'd make sense if you were driving a street machine pushing 300 to 400 or more horsepower, but most imports aren't pushing greater then 175hp. next son of a bitch that straps a giant biohazard symbol on to their hood, super street written in the front windshield is getting smacked. i really don't care for it much, i've got 'Mazda Sport' Written in 2 or 3 inch lettering in the rear window, and a light glow sticker under my rear quarter window on the drivers side. a sticker endorsing some **** aftermarket accessories company is not 'cool'... make up something interesting, something.. i don't know, original? mazda sport was something i thought up... kinda retarded, but we all make mistakes, i've made alot of them with neon lights, windshield sprayer lights, etc. etc., the **** just isn't cool. but no, i wouldn't cover your inspection sticker with a banner... not a smart idea, unless it's fully readable from the outside of the car and can be changed easily or with little hassle, then forget it... or relocate the stickers down a little? i know you can't do that with pa stickers, maybe new hampshire is different? well, good luck anyway.

peace

The only people I see around here with APC stickers are beat up old Hondas with farters. It amazes me sometimes how much someone would spend on a bunch of stickers, a farter, and a huge aluminum wing, and put it on a beat up old Honda. Do they actually think the those things cover the fact the car is ugly? Sort of like a woman caking on make-up...

I have (2) stickers on my car, (1) in each rear small window. Protegeclub.com and a 311.

I would encourage you to install the decal.

Please make SURE to cover the inspection sticker.

Then when you get pulled over, you will be forced to remove the decal, hopefully ruining the decal, and you will no longer have APC across your windshield.

Of course, you could just skip the ricey APC thing and avoid this altogether.....

Is APC paying you to put the sticker on your car? If not what's the point?

Josh, I think you are probably getting the idea that most guys don't care for APC that much....nor the idea of advertising for a company for FREE.

IF you want a window sticker across the top of your windshield.....have one made....something original....and see about having it made such that the area where your inspection sticker is doesn't have any text on it....then you could install the window sticker....and then trim around where the inspection sticker is so that it shows through. As if you cover it up...you will certainly get pulled over and most likely ticketed.

Heck yeah 311 is the best!!!

oh yeah but along with these guys i really REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hate APC with a passion!! all their stuff looks like playskool crap to me

the only stickers i have are in the rear quarter windows.......a drivers image sticker(local performance shop) and a sticker for ernie ball guitar stuff ....and the latter is prob gonna come off cuz i'm not really liking it.

but its all about what you want on your car you paid the money for it so you decide what goes on it

hey, you could always put on some leaky alteezas in the rear, non-functioning lower f1 wings, a wing on the back with paint to peel in 4 months or less, some shoulder pads, steering wheel cover and a nice apc logo on the front windshield. the only thing that are ACTUALLY apc are my fog lights.. i will admit that the foglight wiring configuration is superior to that of Rally (cheese bally k-mart/walmart brand fog). dude, seriously, amidst all of this apc bashing, i really think you should take that back and go talk to a vynl graphics designer and think up some **** for your window. mazdaspeedwest manufactures protege club decals with a lot of optimizations available.. might be able to convince him to do something custom for you, although what he already offers in the decal department is second to none.
peace bro

ok i get the general consensus that APC sucks, so with that i torched the decal yesterday with a little gasoline. it actually felt pretty good to watch it burn. so with that, demoninvictus you said that mazdaspeedwest makes decals. do they make the protegeclub.com ones? cause i would love to one of those on my car, i have a few ideas that would make it unique, and do they have a web site? peace.

Wow - mood swings that a menopausal woman could be envious of.....from wanting to stick it on your car, to BURNING it!

What a change of heart!

A good change though.

I do not think mazdaspeedwest has a website, but here is the thread with all the info: http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...&threadid=3941

Someone needs to put a "sticky" on that thread for him and us.

Contact him if you want something custom - he's easy to work with. I'm glad y'all reminded me of this - I wanted to get a pair of the small protegeclub decals, and totally forgot about 'em.

Anyway - you can PM him with some details and he'll work with you no problem.
