sure. it will work just fine. all you have to do is limit the gain a little - not to break the sub.

I got my amp this afternoon. I haven't seen the Avionixx amp, but this one looks very nice - very clean design, simple looking, but packs a punch! I understand that the Tsunami logo is backlit... I haven't been able to power up the amp, so I haven't seen the blue light of the logo, but it should look good. Oh, and besides, my car is blue and the amp is dark blue, so it matches. My subwoofer light is blue as well...

Regarding the wire... I don't know.

That's what I was told in a local car-audio store, but everyone here at the board says otherwise. In another store, they wanted to sell me 16 gauge wire for my sub (I wanted 10 gauge). The guy said that he puts this wire in $3000 installs and works just fine... I bought 10 gauge anyway... and it's a pain in the butt to work with!

funny thing, i did a mock up for the wiring i'm hoping to set up in the future for a dual amp setup and a single head unit 10 gauge power wire. went through knuconcepts, pieced EVERY little ****** thing i needed, only bout $206 bucks. it's a shame, but you have to spend the bills if you want everything to sound and work seemlessly. i may just bilk out for a tsunami dual amp 4 gauge kit for 100 bucks and piece the rest of the parts together... figured i'd save myself $50 bucks..so eh, whatever is possible, get what i'm saying? thats ok, neither do i . in all honesty, do it right the first time and don't live to regret it the second time. right now, i have 2 gold ring connectors running off the stock positive terminal (1 8 gauge and 1 10 gauge)... plus a wire for my foglights that keep blowing the same 15 amp fuse... it's time to buy some wires in this area hell, i probably have enough from the **** i just bought for my groundwire kit . do yourself a favor, do it right and avoid blowing 4 fuses a month like i do. good luck

the tsunami amp "needs" a 120amp fuse - that's what its manual says. and it's damping factor is 180..

Now here's a thought.. you said the back speakers weren't that important..

If I eliminate the back speakers.. do I need the 4-channel amp? Or would something cheaper work just as well.

If I did this, and decided at some point to add the back speakers.. could they run off of the HU instead of having to use an amp?

I'm running into money problems with other things so I may have to cut down a bit on what I'm spending.. just trying to figure it out. I'm about $300 short on what I need at with the current set up..any other ideas? I don't want to loose quality, but if there are ways to cut down a tiny-tiney bit on cost that'd be cool.

You could use 2 of the 4 channels bridged to the sub(s) and the other 2 running a pair of front speakers. As far as rear speakers, they are rear fill, so head unit power is adequate. You wouldn't want them louder than the front speakers any way. If you already have a sub amp, then you can get a 2 channel amp. One other thing, is to get midbass speakers for the rear and run two channels on all 4 (front and rear midbass speakers). There are a number of different ways.

Ok, so If i just got the 4 channel.. used two for the speakers, bridged 2 for the sub.. would I loose any significant quality?

Also, what wiring would this eliminate from my list? That'd definatly knock a chunk out of the price.. but I don't want to sacrifice at cost of quality.

also, is that amp powerful enough for both the speakers and the sub in that setup? I definatly don't want to underpower the sub.. would I need a more powerful amp?

My HU and front speakers should be here tuesday.

Everything else I'm ordering tomorrow assuming I can finalize what I'm doing.. and it'll be 3 day shipping so I can have my box built by the time everything gets in. I'm just trying to get this straight so I don't run into a buncha problems.

I still need to know if the 4-channel will run the speakers and sub alone, or if I really do need the 2nd amp. I'm on a money crunch right now thus the delay in all this. If I can eliminate one amp I can finish this. Also if I eliminate an amp, do I need the distribution block still?

And to clarify, I'm talking about dumping the tsunami mono amp and using the 4 channel axa 440.4 to run the front speakers and the sub.

I'm just guessing, but is this too big a load for that amp? If so, is there another similiarly priced amp that would do it? The $260 difference is what's keeping me from finishing this out.

A massive THANK YOU to EVERYBODY who has helped me out with this. I know I've had a billion questions and I've probably become annoying or whatever, but you guys have helped me out soo much.

get the 4 channel... you can run teh sub and the speakers off of it and you wont need the distribution block since you'll only have 1 amp
