A car mp3 player will be a lot better quality sound then using an external unit run through your aux port.

Either buy a cd burner or get a mp3 player that uses a hard drive for storage.

EMPEG (Also known as Rio Car)
Dension

I think Kenwood and Sony also have come out with a hard drive model as well but they are fairly expensive and not much is known about them.

Well, the 'geek factor' of a car mp3 player is very low compared to having a full PC playing your tunes, which can also connect to the 'net via WiFi...

i have an archos jukebox. which is basically a hard drive. i store all of my music in there. so why waste more money buying a CD burner when i could just plug and play ya know?

are there players with a port ?

Yes there are players that have aux ports.

I know some AIWAs and Kenwoods have them. You would just have to look at different name brands and models.

Check the Crutchfield catalog. You'll find all kind of info there.

BTW: a 6 1/2" deep radio will fit perfectly in the Protege.
