do you have to program the name of CD's in to the CD Player or do some CDs now come with an encrypted code for the head unit to just read it off of the disc?

I know for a fact that Offspring Americana has CD text out of the wrapper....as well as I am sure the rest of them do, but that one I know for sure.

I reburn all of my CD's for two reasons...

1. A backup copy
2. To add CD text

Offspring - Americana was a SONY produced cd.. many cd's that have cd-text in them are the ECD (enhanced cd's) that offer music videos and whatnot when you play them in windows.

Chas,

If you're making a compilation and your CD burner can do CD Text, make sure you're burning as Disc At Once in the Write Method drop down.

If you're using the CD-COPY option then Nero will connect to the 'net, look for the disc data and add it to your disc.

Let me know if this helps.

Run Nero and click on the RECORDER menu.

Choose your CD Burner and on the lower part of the new window you'll see your CD Burner capabilities.

If it is a fairly recent model, it should say that CD-TEXT is supported.

Good luck!
