cd replays automatically
My cd player will return to the first track of a cd after finishing the last track. This irritates me unbelievably. Any way to make the player quit at the end of a cd?
thnx.

hmmm, that's a good question.
so u don't want it to play anymore and just turn off when it's done with the last track?
i actually thought the auto playback was a convenient feature for car audio, unlike tapes which needed to be re-wound.
but i guess if it irritates u, u could email the manfuc and get details (assuming it's an aftermarket hu)

Is your head unit have the repeat tracks button engaged so that it plays the disc over again. I am assuming it is aftermarket? What's nice about Alpine, is that when you eject a CD the radio doesn't come on unless you press source button. Before, with a Kenwood head unit, I would eject a CD and forget the volume is up there, and the radio would blast on sometimes sounding louder than the CD that was playing. That was a pain in the ***.

Hey bro, sorry to tell you that there is no way to fix this on any of the modern CD Players. That is just how they come programmed now days! Why is that big of a deal for it to replay. When it starts over, just change CD's or switch to the radio. Now that isn't that hard is it? Why in the world would you want the CD player to turn off when it starts to replay. Then you would have to turn it back on, which is more of a hassle than changing CD's!

I don't understand why this is such a nuisance.

Yeah - when you hear the end of the last song, eject the CD.

Perfect Solution
After the CD is done playing, there is a great way to get it to stop playing...errr, well some what, go to your local hardware store and pick up one of these:
after your last track is done playing, use this implement to tap the radio repeatedly in a violent matter. all in all, you should be pleased with the ending result, no more annoying repeat!! and you have my WORD it won't even THINK of repeating that damn cd.
peace
(seriously, sorry bud, have no way to help you )
