Caliper Paint

Ok, I did a search a caliper painting, and I deffenitely want to take on this project. Just a quick question though. I'm looking at using the G2 German Performance Engineering Brake Caliper Paint. How long will the paint last on the caliper before I need to repaint it? Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know about G2 German Performance Engineering Brake Caliper Paint, but I painted my calipers about a year ago with regular high temp paint. So far there's no need to repaint them. The paint should last for a while, not unless you hit the calipers and the paint chips.............but I doubt you'll do that..

Powder coating is also really great for calipers. Gives it a really nice finish. Just my opinion...

I thought it wasn't wise to paint in cold climate. Thats just what a few body shop ppl told me, cause was gonna do mines over last month. They told me it would be better to what till the weather warms up.

that's correct. you never want to use paint below 70 degrees. it won't come out right.
I painted my calipers last winter and it was cold as hell outside.
If you don't mind the cold just heat the calipers and paint. Shouldn't be a problem, but it's pain in the ***.

well, I'll be doing all my work in the garage anyway, so the cold shouldn't matter too much.

if it's not a heated garage, use a heat gun to warm the calipers up.

or drive around at 60 mph and test your "emergency braking"
