Blaupunkt Subs

mainly for dave cameron, but anyone can chime in if they want. has anyone heard these yet? i think dave was gonna do a test run, but haven't heard since. these look awesome, maybe not the greatest bass in the world, but think of the mounting capabilities! damn, a box only 5 inches deep, up against the back seat in a p5? doors? under seats? i want a pair.

sorry for not posting earlier on this, life is very busy with Daughter and school and work! Fishing, ice skating, studying, soccer, budget cuts, too much fun.
I have a good friend occupying my shop to build a competition car right now so I have not had much time out there.
So in short, the subs are in the box, not yet hooked up. They are in the cage with the other stuff right now.
I will try to find a worthy project for mine soon. Sorry but underseat is not my thing as I prefer SQ. Under the seat reminds me of Sensurround, a cute gimmick of the 1970's in movies like Earthquake and Midway.....

Sorry Hawaiian!
Actually my next big project will be The install of Boston Z-6 components speakers to see how they sound compared to focals. I have worked up on a cocktail napkin a design for "fast change" pods to try them in the Sentra. Once I do that, I will try to find an appropriate venue for the Blaus, I promise

Hawaiian, I highly doubt the Blau's will be anything close to the Alliante's in terms of SQ, although, I haven't heard both of them yet so who knows. I was pretty close to buying an Alliante 12" SI but the seller never returned my email. I noticed you're also on elitecaraudio.com. Nice to see a fellow P5 on there.

oh, i know that it can't compare sq wise, i was just comparing their depth. i would like to get a pair of 12" aliente's oneday, but i figured in the meantime i could use the blau's to save space when i need to haul stuff around without having to sacrifice the low's.

yeah, i'm on caf, termpro, sd, and elite. caf moves pretty fast but elite seems more hardcore and not a whole lot of "newbie" questions. termpro is a slower moving forum, but really good info.

robdoggz frequents dif boards as well, as do a few other pro forum members. next time i see you on eca i'll be sure to say hi!
