Has anyone installed a Blau Heidelberg head unit. Crutchfield claims it will not fit, I have found them to be wrong in the past. I am partial to Blaus (owned 3 before). This has a killer tuner section and a decent s/n ratio on the cd. Thanks.

 

isn't the heidelberg in the skyline series? it'll fit. i have the munchen and it's pretty cherry.

 

I have the Austin (X-line) and it fits perfectly. Matches the silver trim pretty well.

If it's a single DIN, there's no reason why it shouldn't fit. If depth is a concern, you can always mount the deck in the lower portion and put your pocket (or something that fills the remaing space) on top of it.

 

I have the casablanca in my 95 ES, and according to specs the the depth of the HU was too much, but there's a plastic bracket in the rear that if you cut or rip that out there should be no problem, i can't remember but i might have receive about 1 inch extra which meant all the difference. Getting that part out was a pain the *** though but it all worked out and haven't had any problems.
