That does look slick! My bf did that to his black Focus wagon, and has been after me to do it. Hmmmm..... Just might now!

He probably just took apart the headlights, painted the chrome, and resealed the headlights. It's a nice effect and a pretty easy job. Although I can see it being quite time consuming.

 

i would tend to think by painting the reflector that light output will be diminished...

 

The MP3's are the same way and they have a good output of light. It still has the reflective part around the light bulb.

 

Would it be legal??? Here ppl get a lot of VI's.

 

I wanted to bump this thread up as someone was asking about doing this to their lights and people on the board said it hadn't been done....it has.....and they are up there.....

 

is tinting or painting your taillights also illegal then? anyone know?

 

Paolo-do that to the focus! It looks nice. Subtle, but nice, kinda like the SVT. It is time consuming, but worth it. My boyfriend and I just have to figure out how to get these lenses off. The focus lenses were easier.

 

I dunno... I still like the chrome. In fact, I think even the MP3 looks better with the chrome P5 lights, or to a lesser extent the LX headlights. (Single bulb, like the sedans, but chrome, not black.)

 

i love how that looks on that white p5 (especially with the autoexe grill and lip), but i dunno how id like it on red
