I swear to GOD! I saw someone in PR with that spoiler and it looked HOT! I'm not a fanatic of that type of spoiler but when I saw the G2 Pro w/ that spoiler I dropped my jaw. I think it's a good match 'cause the sides of the spoiler are rounded like the car. Don't you get an idea of what it looks like in the pic?

Thumbs down you guys are crazy

I don't know. Those big spoiler i think they ruin the look of the car, on some cars they look ALLRIGHT, but most cars they ruin the look of the car. The spoiler is nice, but i don' t know if it's the right on for the car. i would go for something that sticks out a lil less. Because with that, it's gonna bring all attention to the assend of the car..

Ive seen it in MR2s and it looks sick awesome.

But, one question...How fast is your car?

I wouldnt do that unless my car is fast enough to deserve that "look"

Thats why I have not ordered yet the autoexe front lip to my P5 nor the carbon fiber hood and stuff. (i know my car is 3rd gen, but i like 2nd gen pros too). If they are hooked right, they look damn great.

Once boosted, im going for the looks (with hopes that I will not damage the engine and spend more on fixes).

Once again...it looks awesome on pollitos signature and in the MR2 i saw.

Yea true, I dont need the downforce. And actually I DONT WANT the down force.........down force on a FWD actually makes front traction worse....however....with the tall side walls of that spoiler it will provide great high speed stability....and being a frequent highway driver thats what i want. even though im lowered and have front and back strut bars...i can still use more 60+mph stability

In general aftermarket wings like that will add around 3 to 8 lbs of downforce north of 180mph. No protege will touch that speed. You could duct tape a 2L botte of Coke to the trunk and have the about the same amount of function, at any speed.... If you could travel around Mach 4 you would gain some considerable downforce from a "terminator", but unfortunately you can't...

the side walls help the car stay straight and stable at higher speeds.......its the same concept of the fin on the bottom of sail boats... it helps keep it strait so wind wont rock it. ofcourse its not to such a great extent, but it will help none the less....for reference: sport compcat cars review of the evo 7... they say that that car was suprisingly stable at around 100mph speeds. then they go on to say "because of the large sidewalls on the spoiler"

Dude I honestly don't think you will notice any stability or downforce at all with any aftermarket wing. Chassis refinement and wheel alignment will have a much bigger affect on highspeed stability with out making your car look like a shopping cart...

Yeah, LIKE I SAID, ive already got front and back strut bars AND lowered it. It is alot more stable than it was but i think Sport Compact Car knows what they're talking about. Why would they make up some bullshit? Have you ever sailed before? Taken physics? Now i agree, the downforce wont be noticeable. which is all the better. but side walls are a WHOLE diffrent story... the air going around the walls create a "path" and opposite force to the back end swaying. therefor preventing the back end from moving side to side...like i said man...the same damn thing on a sail boat...ofcourse its not going to be the all powerful best in the world stabilizer but it will help. the faster you go the better. yet another example.... stick your hand out the window going about 80... feel how hard it is to hold it broad side towards the wind? now take it and hold it with the the edge "cutting" the wind. move its slightly up and down, side to side, feel all that resistance? it wants to stay in that cutting position. the wind forces it there. Ok. now the spoiler side walls are 4 times bigger than your hand on each side... thats 8 times the amount of force you are feeling on your hand.....alot of force huh? case and point

Ok you insist on arguing your point, which I respect. I never said anything about sport compact car making anything up. Hell SCC is one of the biggest mags in which I have seen stress on the shittyness of aftermarket wings. You are arguing the point that spoilers have function. Obviously this is true. F1 cars create more than double their weight in downforce on some applications and stability by use of spoilers. An Evo's spoiler was designed for the car, with hundreds of man hours going into every angle on the wing. Also there are hundreds of other factors that make and Evo "Suprisingly stable at 100mph", not just the wing. If the wing made the car that much better at high speed, it wouldn't be an option for the new Evo, it would be standard (They were not trying to make the Evo as cheap as possible). A termintor universal wing is thrown together for appearance only, with little effort on function. The application is no different in size or aerodynamics(except some of these are available in different widths for different sized trunk decks.) for different cars.

My point is only this: You know your **** about this subject, I am not trying to say that you are a ******* idiot and know nothing. I am only stating that the speed of which your protege is capable of makes this upgrade next to worthless. We both know that in some road applications cars are equiped with functional rear wings (911s are probably the most functional). Because an Evo has great high speed stability and wing does not mean a Protege and a Terminator will too...

I'm not sure that the sidewalls help much either but the spoiler does look cool. if you like it then get it... I'm also a big big fan of spoilers too.... who cares how much brains a model has, its all about the looks right?

a thing about the side walls... i'm not sure how well they work but I don't think its gonna make a lot of difference unless you reach take off speed (160+mph) then at that point because your wheels are still gonna be stuck to the ground because of the aerodynamics of the car its still not gonna be affecting much....
