Added Sidelight !

Is there any risk for rust or paint problem when you install OEM side markers (rain and snow) ? I leave in Canada so it will snow for some days ! Also, do Mazda dealers install them or you have to go to a specialist shop ? 'Cause I certainly dont want to install them myself ... to risky for me
Thanks

you will always run the risk of rust when you cut into the surface of the paint and metal. proper sealing/priming the bare metal should slow the process. you would probably be better off going to a local shop. From my experiances, the dealer would just say that it would void your body warranty and tell you no...

as long as you can keep the exposed metal from the atmosphere, you will be fine, the problem is when the silicone or paint cracks you may have a problem. (This is why i never put in hood pins)Keep in mind that we should have carbon fiber body pannels in production by then that will make this a null issue!!

Just my opinion, but I think the side markers are way too tacky, espesially on the P5. The sedans aren't bad, because you don't already have the sidemarkers on the bumper, but on the P5 it's just too much. Looks like one of those big rig's with the amber clearance lights all over! To all you sedan people, all the power to you, but P5er's, please, please beware.

Another type of sidemarkers.
I feel they're understated and functional, wired to blinker lights, not parking lights (yuk).
Some say they look like nipples. Hehe.
Perhaps thats what Ferrari had in mind when they decided to use these on their cars.
