Ok this is weird. I installed my base tube, everything was working perfectly, then when I came out to my car this morning, no sound at all. The radio and cd play, numbers move etc. but no sound comes out at all. I don't get it. What could possibly cause the speakers to stop putting out sound all together?

If you folks don't have any idea I will take it to mazda to look at. Because I can't think of anything I did that would cause this to happen. The sub install doesn't even touch the HU.

For the record, I am using high level inputs, and have the sub powered off an unused spot in the fuse panel.

Hmmm... what size of bass tube are you using? When you say you're running it off the fusebox, do you mean the one inside the cabin. If so, you may have blown some fuses as it really isn't meant to draw the kind of power your bass tube needs.

If I were you I would check all the fuses (just in case) and then disconnect the bass tube. See if the system works without the tube. If so, re-wire your bass tube directly to the battery using an amp install kit (Stinger, Street Wires, etc.) available from any electronics store.

Hope this helps.

No worries, figured out the problem.
Here is a hint, don't let the orange lead touch a speaker wire.
