I have a 2012 Mazda 3 and there is an issue with the blower. I have the 3 main dials for air control and when I bring my intensity dial up from 0 to 1,2, or 3 nothing happens. When at full/4 however, the blower will output. I believe this is the resistor for the blower, however, there is another issue. When I turn the AC button on it will light up on settings 1,2, and 3 but when I turn the dial to 4 the AC will shut off. Cool air will flow at first but with the AC button off it just goes back to blowing air.

Are these issues related and will getting a new resistor fix the problem? Or do I have 2 separate issues?
