I used our wonderful search function and was disappointed to not find any results/discussions on Carbon Fiber hoods specifically for the 94 model year. I know I'm diggin here when I ask if there are any 94 Protege owners that have an interest and the means to get some made, but does anyone fit the criteria?

It seems that "group buys" on this post end up fizziling. I know money **** happens and sometimes circumstances change, but I am not looking for the same thing to happen like the P5 CF hood group buy (20 "I wants" and 4 "legitimate buyers.") I have an itch for a carbon fiber hood and would be willing to initiate some action to get em made.

I think to gauge how serious those interested are, money in hand will be required up front before I place an order. Of course I will look around and see who would be interested in making these hoods. There is no better bargaining tool and incentive for someone to make these customer hoods than cash in hand.

REPLY ONLY IF YOU FIT THE INTEREST AND MEANS CATEGORY. If you have the wants, please do not reply. I want a million bucks, but talking about it doesn't get me the millions. Let's get some people who mean business here. I will see about getting a contract drawn up that will bind you as a buyer, to protect you, me, and to eliminate any bull-********.

You will need to have 10 prepaid orders to get anyone to make them (someplaces require 15) I know the 3 companies I've dealt with have all been different. I still think Fiber Images is the best choice but you have to have 10 no matter what. And, you are looking at possibly months once the 10 payments are in because it takes a while to get the mold done (plus they have to finish any other molds that where ordered before yours) I think MHP was willing to make a 2001-2002 hood for 15 orders & I talked to another CF company that does racing parts & they said for the money, it would have to be at least 10 hoods. I've got a line on Fiber Images & the company that does Roger Foos Protege5 that would probably make a hoods, if we can get the orders. Now, we just tried doing the same thing for the 1999-2000 model Proteges & where able to come up with 6 deposited commitments (had 2 people back out before it was all said and done) and finally had to drop the deal. So, if you can get true interest on 10 hoods, you should be able to do it. Figure out what years use the exact same hood so you know who all can buy it.
