3rd gen center console into 1st gen

Hey, does anyone know if the center console from a 3rd gen would fit into a 1st gen? or does anybody have experience in making or putting a differen't console in? thanks

I think a second gen console might fit in a first gen ... hmmm

Mx3 Dash and seats and carpet fits 1st gen. the door pannels fit the 323. So basically, u could get a 323 and do the entire interior swap of the mx3 and it would be TIGHT!

I saw a 92 323 with a 01 protege dashboard and console in it. anythings possible ..Jon
