look at the certification... it's SAE... now click on that link I posted... SAE beam pattern vs ECE beam pattern... SAE is the left light in the pic and ECE is the right light in the pic in case you don't understand... it doesn't matter how bright the light bulbs you have in there, if the beam pattern is ****, you get that blob **** excuse for a beam pattern you see in those pics

Daniel Stern sells the Cibie CSRs... at a performance standpoint, the Hella 90mm modules you've shown are **** because they provide a SAE beam pattern, even if they are an improvement from your stock **** the SAE beam pattern inherently does: imense glare to oncoming traffic, imense back glare in bad weather, insufficient lighting to the area immediately to the front of the car and overall side lighting, poor illumination of road side roadsigns... my point is, no matter how good the SAE beam pattern design the Hella lights you plan to use give, they are still inferior compare to MANY better lamps out there... do not limit yourself to Hella... Cibie and Marchal makes good lamps (and in many cases, MUCH better) too

Yeah, So.
I'm not too sure about how many people are if it's SAE or not, as long as it's significantly better, and that's not a hard feat, than the stock headlamps.
So i kinda agree, unless of course people only want SAE.
Can't something be made that will house two different types of projector lights? Like SAE and ECE will fit in the housings.

honestly, why would any enthusiast (who is actually basic educated about this particular thing) want SAE lights even if it is illegal in America? MANY people get away with "illegal" lighting anyway, and lots of people who have upgraded to ECE lighting here in America had absolutely no problems with inspection stations either; they're too stupid to know the difference anyway.... to them, like most Americans think ALL headlights in the world are SAE/DOT.
IMO, going through THIS much trouble in getting both an aesthetically "different" (or "better", whatever) look and better lighting performance shouldn't go half assing and getting **** headlights... go for the best!
