After everything is all said and done, like i said i know a guy that says he can do carbon fiber, he was supposed to make a lip for someone that i know. So i can check this guy out. Then you can send me a mold and We can have Carbon Fiber ones. I'm pretty sure this guy won't charge too much i've known him for a while now.
I havent played with carbon fiber yet, but plan to. Once I figure out carbon fiber, I'd make the housings with that too (for those who don't want to paint the housing).

I'm starting with the 90-93 headlights because thats what is on my car (for testing purposes) and what I had an extra set of. Once this is done, I would make them for the 323 and 94 protege, along with possibly the second gen.

look at the certification... it's SAE... now click on that link I posted... SAE beam pattern vs ECE beam pattern... SAE is the left light in the pic and ECE is the right light in the pic in case you don't understand... it doesn't matter how bright the light bulbs you have in there, if the beam pattern is ****, you get that blob **** excuse for a beam pattern you see in those pics

I fully understand the things show in that link. I wanted proof that the HELLA 90mm modules are ****.

And where are these Cibie CSR Headlamps available? A google search gives me nothing.

Daniel Stern sells the Cibie CSRs... at a performance standpoint, the Hella 90mm modules you've shown are **** because they provide a SAE beam pattern, even if they are an improvement from your stock **** the SAE beam pattern inherently does: imense glare to oncoming traffic, imense back glare in bad weather, insufficient lighting to the area immediately to the front of the car and overall side lighting, poor illumination of road side roadsigns... my point is, no matter how good the SAE beam pattern design the Hella lights you plan to use give, they are still inferior compare to MANY better lamps out there... do not limit yourself to Hella... Cibie and Marchal makes good lamps (and in many cases, MUCH better) too

also, don't force yourself in getting an SAE type of headlight... it seems to me that's what you're doing... get the better performing ECE stuff... it's legal in Canada!

Yeah, So.
I'm not too sure about how many people are if it's SAE or not, as long as it's significantly better, and that's not a hard feat, than the stock headlamps.

So i kinda agree, unless of course people only want SAE.
Can't something be made that will house two different types of projector lights? Like SAE and ECE will fit in the housings.

honestly, why would any enthusiast (who is actually basic educated about this particular thing) want SAE lights even if it is illegal in America? MANY people get away with "illegal" lighting anyway, and lots of people who have upgraded to ECE lighting here in America had absolutely no problems with inspection stations either; they're too stupid to know the difference anyway.... to them, like most Americans think ALL headlights in the world are SAE/DOT.

IMO, going through THIS much trouble in getting both an aesthetically "different" (or "better", whatever) look and better lighting performance shouldn't go half assing and getting **** headlights... go for the best!

Now that you point out using the 90MM modules would be half-assing it, I'm going to research these other lamps. I need to figure out where to buy them, and also dimensions. They look like they might be to large... I'll post back up when I figure things out

Well since those cibbie lights are to large, I'm trying to find some ECE lights that are under 90mm. I've paused with the housings until I know the dimensions of the light(s) that are going to be in it.
