I wonder if $320 is MSRP or the dealers jacked up price. That is quite a bit of money.

I figured it would be in the $250 range because thats how much the rear skirt is.

Its still cheaper than an MP3 conversion, plus it will look better IMO.

That's what I was thinking. Doesn't make sense that it would be so much more expensive than the rear and side skirts.

On the MazdaUSA website, they list the MSRP for the 2002 accessories. Hopefully they'll update it soon for the 2003 accessories.

It's about time they made this lip. Anyway, I was wondering how much it will cost to paint and install the lip, sills, and rear bumper? 1k?

Talking front dam

I just went to my dealer yesterday and bought the P5-MP3 conversion for $244. I talked them into giving me a 10% discount on any parts I buy, everyone should do the same, just tell them you plan on spending a lot of money there on parts. It comes primered. Easy to put on (I think). Front plastic $217, grill $34, grill $12, Grill $12, skip the fogs and buy some piaas, they want $210 for each fog light

MP3 strut bar.
Borla Exhaust
Racing Beat windshield sticker
kart boy SS and bushing

To do the MP3 conversion, don't you need not only the front bumper cover, fog lights and grills, but also the MP3 bumper reinforcement bar and inner fenders liners. Even if you do get PIAA fog lights and aftermarket brackets the total conversion should cost about $800 or so with a quality paint job.

Also it does not make any sense that the front spoiler costs that much more than the actual MP3 bumper or even the rear bumper skirt.

So I emailed mazdastuff.com and they said that the front air dam would run $256 from them. It is ready to ship so what are you waiting for?

im waiting for them to wake up and realize that its only a lip. a plain one at that. that thing is not worth $320 bucks or even $256 unless it paints itself and puts itself on.

If your talking about just the bumper conversion. yah it should
be about that but more like 900 bucks. Unless you haggle on
the parts.

this decision is driving me nuts! i've always wanted the MP3 look since i saw it in the showroom, but now they make that lip jus for the sedan and it wouldnt cost more for the MP3 bars n fenders all that stuff. now im really considering the lip. what do you guys think?
