Moving to Halifax within a year

I just wanted to say hi to everyone, and say that I will hopefully be moving to Halifax within about a year. Before then, I have some questions about what I can expect when I get there:

- vehicle registration and driver's licence: How complicated is it to get done, and how expensive?

- insurance: I guess I can expect to pay through the nose? Who do you all insure through? Is there such thing as $5 or $10 million liability coverage?

- vehicle moving: If for whatever reason, I won't be able to drive there, how much is it to have a truck/train transport my car?

- winters: When do you have your snows on/off? Just how bad does the snow get on the roads?

I guess that's it for now.
