This is a quick question for anyone that lives in VA....

Is Arlington National Cemetary anywhere near where the meet is taking place? My dad is buried there and I havn't been to see him since the funeral....and since I'll be in VA for the meet, I figured I could go and see him....but I dont know where it is in reference to where the meet is being held. Any information I would really appreciate.

Arlington is close to Fairfax, I'd say more or less 30 minutes where GMU is. Take 395 N towards DC, Exit 8-B (if I'm not mistaken).

Thanks flip.....I got the directions....and confirmed them with Hank...and they seem to be right....since i really dont know my way around VA at all.

I'm gonna be going to the Cemetary before the meet....so I will be a little late getting there....i'll probably be there around noon or so.

im not sure about all this but....

1) i-95 S towards Washington DC to...
2) i-495 W towards Northern Virginia / Silver Spring to...
3) i-66 W towards i dont remember what it says to...
4) take exit to Rt 123 towards Fairfax(Chain Bridge Road), then the exit will fork...
5) stay left, you will see a sign that says something to the effect of...
"George Mason University" that directs you to stay left.
6) turn left at the 2nd stoplight (its after a fudruckers), which i think is Rt 29. (Lee Highway)
there should be an exxon to your left and right after you turn.
7) turn right at first stoplight (it's right after the denny's on your right and the car dealership).
8) drive straight and the campus will be on your left.
finding Lot L shouldnt be hard cause there are signs everywhere.

if anyone could please doublecheck my directions that would be most helpful.

HOLY ****!!!! YOU GUYS ARE KIDDING ME!!!! Spools is a company that makes turbos for our cars.. they just opened a new shop in the RICHMOND area... its not a car show.. if you go the the website www.spool-turbo.com .. it will explain.. it will pretty much be about explaining the turbo kits just for a little while.. but most the day we will be looking at everyones cars...so i guess its more like a car meet.... i believe we have people coming all the way from MA and CT.. so we are kinda or tryin to have a train all the way down.. most of us are leavind early saturday moring.. the meet isnt until sunday but want to get there and get hotels and all.. and there are 2 hotels not even a mile from the place.. super8 i believe.. thats on like $58 and i just met someone on the forum yesterday from delaware and he is staying at the hampton inn and that $85...geeze.. i thought every one new about the spool meet....since you guys are in VA... hahah I am not sure if there is a post on this forum about it or not.. i just realized that its posted on the other forum..www.protege5.com... go to car meets.. and spools should be one of the first threads on there.. you cant miss..... hope to see some of you there.. since i cant make this weekend!!!

yeah, i didn't notice about this Spoolin open house until you started talking about it

all the bullshitting that's been going on around that forum sort of buried something actually meaningful like the spool open house thing.

their organization of threads simply sucks compared to this forum's

meh, i don't plan to turbo my Protege anytime soon (setting up for a RX-8), so i'll pass on that one
