Mid July Meet
 

Hey guys and girls;

Okay, the reason I am posting is that I really want to have a big/huge meet where there are some 30+ cars attending.
It is my first time doing it, and I hope it goes smoothly.
Here is what I have in plan;

*proto5handler and I (pro00) will be in charge of the whole thing, from setup to contacting officials. Anybody who wants to help out, please do so, pm proto5hanlder or I and we will greatly appreiciate your help.

Location:

* I am thinking of a place where it is widely known and people have no problem getting to.
**Either in a mall (such as Tysons corner mall - alot of parking space and could get permission from them)
**Or a if we go towards the west of the state of VA, there are alot of small towns/parks that we could easily have a meet there.

Time/Date:

*I would love to have a meet in mid july. Just because it will give us enough time to prepare for it. I am looking on a saturday or sunday. something around 12th-13th or 20th-21st.
**time = earlier =the better = more time to hang out


Help:
Anybody with experience please help

PLEASE vote up there on the poll. If I don't have enough replies, by early July, then I can't go on.

make a deffinate time and place and get more details so we can get people to come to the meet. if you dont do that now, ull have no success!. Just a lil tip. i know how ppl around here are.;) :shift: :beer:

Here is the OFFICIAL announcment of the time and date of the Mid July Meet

Time = 10am
Date = July 19th, Saturday
Location = will be up in a few days.

In regards for food and drinks, I can't really tell you excatly what will be there, but within a few days, I should know excatly what the situation is. I am planning for BBQ and Drinks(coke/pepsi...etc)

In regards for the location, I am thinking state parks (after permission of course from tha authorities).

Again, if by begining of July I don't get at least 20-25 cars head count, this would not be able to go through.

Okay, we have narrowed down the search of spots to 2.....

Here are the locations

1. Burke Lake, in Fairfax
2. Bull Run Park in Chantilly

Food : I am working on it now, should have an idea by the begining of the next week

Things are going great!!!!:D :D

Things are going as planned, should have a definate location by next week

I am working on getting a performance shop to come and showcase its work. I am currently working a deal out with them, so I can't say right now pending excatly if it will work out or not.

I need more replies so I could tell them there is going to be a good meet. I NEED replies. I have to give them a 30+ figure, and I want you guys to help me out. So.....c'mon, sign up.

BBQ again is a definate

If the place I am looking to get works out, we could see a movie after the meet and have icecream and stuff like that. I tell you, that is what I concieve how the day should go

10am.....I'll be there, for the cars to arrive
12pm.....Every body who is here, is here
12:30pm......BBQ Starts
till 4-5pm.....Show case cars, pictues, and maybe if we are lucky, some stunts with the car.

6-7pm, go and see a movie in the movie theater which will be disccussed before we meet on the forum

8-9pm, see every bodies car in the night.....then head home


If anybody is coming from outer state, inform me if you want accomodations, so I could tell you were to call and give you directions

When the place is set, I WILL post directions from all directions



What do you guys think of a band. it is a four member band, not really that famous, but will give music to the surrounding, unless you will supply that with your speakers/amps/subs:D :D :dj:

Might as well make this MAPP, eh?:p

But, I'm not to sure if I can make it. I have a really, really busy schedule this summer.

If all goes well, you can definitely count on seeing me. No promises.

Plus, I am working on stuff right now, I don't want to say it because if it doesn't go through, I don't want the members to be upset. However, if it goes, it will be awesome!

I will be there. I will be coming from Delaware so from what I can tell each one looks like 2 1/2 hrs regardless so it doesn't really matter to me. It all sounds good to me.

possibly a local shop to offer it services and deals
movie, icecream and burn outs

Location will be 90% in GMU parking lot
BBQ 100% going
the Shop 75% struck a deal with it

there is nothing to loose
come on and have fun, this will be the last meet I will have in this area because I am moving to Richmond for grad school in the fall

lets make this thing happen, heh?
