ya, they changed it a bunch. i have no clue as to why they went with narrower headlamps. as you can see with the red car, that's a decent amount of body width to span and the headlights just can't help it. we'll see though.

im not sure if its even based on the mondeo platform as the EU mazda6. looks like an extreme facelift for the sake of keeping up with the generational changes, maybe?

in japan there is a mazda atenza mazdaspeed concept. its basically the jdm atenza with some mazdaspeed tuning parts. included in the concept are new aero kits, suspension tuning, new exhaust note, and probably a minor upgrade in the interior as well. i don't believe there was a significant upgrade in power, but maybe a remapped ECU like they did with the protege mp3 back in 2001 to eek out a couple more horses out of the stock config. and while this mazdaspeed concept might sound like an interesting practice, you're not likely to see anything on the US market since japan and the rest of the world gets the smaller and taughter version.
