There's a model ID but besides some engine stuff it only mentions the tire size and the recomended tire pressure. I have the fallowing info from mazda (I don't know how some of this stuff is called in english, ill do my best translating it):

Front suspension: independent, McPherson, Double effect telescopic struts, helicoidal springs (i don't think that's even a word in english) and stabilizer bar.

Rear: TTL system with Double effect telescopic struts, helicoidal springs(?), "rigid bridge", something called "tirante longitudinal" wich I have no idea of what it is ("tirante" means "something that pulls") and stabilizer bar.

The springs look very thick.

If I do have to replace the struts before lowering it, what should I look for? like, spec wise.

And yes, the roads are FUBAR around here, but lately they're getting worse.

If you're aiming for performance, you might be better off replacing your springs and struts with stock parts from a 2001+ European 323 2.0i Sport or 99-00 323 1.8SE. This will stiffen the suspension without lowering the ride height and wrecking the ride. However, I have no idea how you can order these parts in Venezuela.

well...it depends of what you mean by fubar. I mean, there are some nasty pot holes but like 80% of the roads are ok, I'm hesitant about getting 17" rims, but what harm could lowering the car do? I can only think about a big *** speed bump or a very steep driveway.

Car's shocks don't wear out in months...at least not here, they last as long as they would last in the US, I think my grandma's Lancer is like 5 years old and It's still using the original shocks.

It's not like I go through pot holes every day, just sometimes when I can't avoid them. I've seen many cars with low profile tires around here. I'm only looking to lower it a bit, to make it look and handle better, not slam at it like 2" from the road.

What do you mean by bottom out car?
