Exclamation Sprint Springs?

Has anyone installed these springs onto their Protege, Protege 5. They are new....they have the biggest drop for the 3rd Gen. Its a 2" drop.

Tein S-Tech springs drop 2" as well...

A friend of mine used Sprint springs on a SE-R and they seem to be fine as far as quality, but I don't know how their stiffness will compare to a Protege's...

I had Sprint springs on a Saturn. They are pretty good springs for the money... although the spring rates are high enough that your stock (or even close to stock KYB GR2's) will wear out faster. I had the GR2's with the Sprints and the ride was pretty stiff. Every time I ran over a .5" - 1.0" difference in the road it felt like I hit a curb.

Progress springs are 2" even drop for 3g sedans, and a bit more comfortable than their competition, due in part to the fact that they're progressive (who'd have thought?)

LoL... no, they're advertised as "progressive-rate" springs. In actuality, they're dual-rate springs. Lower rate for initial compression, and higher rate to keep the suspension from bottoming out under higher compression situations.

Progressive as used by Nate is an adjective.

Progressive springs use a non-symetrical spring design so that the harder you try to compress the spring, the stiffer it gets. This offers more comfort for little bumps (as they will only compress the spring in the "soft" zone), and still gives decent performance (bodyroll and such will compress THROUGH the soft zone and get into the stiff area.

The change from soft to stiff is gradual, hence "progressive" rate springs.
Damn... you beat me to it!
