fair enough, but how do you know what 6/10ths is if you've never taken it to 10/10ths? That's one of those situations where you could run out of talent, real estate, equipment, and ideas REAL quick. No one ever thinks they're putting themselves in danger.

I'd LOVE for someone, for once, to make a post like this: Alright, I did some mods to the car and took it out to the local autocross to test it out. It rotates pretty well in transitions, but is still a little pushy in steady state cornering.

There's nothing wrong with pushing your car on public roads as long as you have a reasonable amount of experience, understand vehicle dynamics, consider safety concerns, etc.

Absolutely. I have no argument with that point. It's the fact that it was being TESTED (which njaremka and I have already agreed upon ). I love nothing more than a good mountain run in the miata OR the protege, but I know EXACTLY how far I can push those without going over the limits because I have taken them to those limits in a controlled environment.

i was testing, but not an "at the limits" test, just a "feelings" test - there was no point that i felt if i had pushed a little harder the car would have gone out on me.
