putting springs on shocks

ok, im putting the springs i just got on stock shocks. is there anything special i need to know about? or is it pretty straight forward?

the only special thing would be to remeber how you did it all, because on stock shocks, because you'll be doing it again in 6 months when you blowout those stockers...otherwise it is a pretty straight forward install

Haha. I have about 30k on my Eibachs & stockers. I'm just lucky I guess.

I've never done the install myself, but from what I've read online it's a pretty safe investment to get a spring compressor. You can rent them for free from Advance Auto and such after you pay for deposit (which you get refunded when you return it) so it doesn't really cost you anything extra and can potentially save you a lot of time and injuries. I think I saw somewhere that the spring can shoot back and nail you in the face if not done with a compressor so I guess it's a good thing to keep in mind. Anyone else have any input on this?

yes, i went ahead and got the compressers... i was stupid and got the strut off and then unscrewed the top. lucky me my face wasnt in the way

i have the fronts on now, and later i am puttin in the rears. pics soon

guaranteed gary that your stock struts are worn bretty bad by now...when i had put the mazdaspeed adjustables on my old pro, i thought the stockers were still good.....until i took them off....they werent blown out, but they were worn pretty bad....
