Never trust the dealership with the brake pads.. they told me a month ago my pads were used up to 95% I have 28000 km on that car and it still brake fine. Don't hear any noise when braking or anything..

f*ck the dealership!

I was under the impression that the brembo's were for the 4 wheel disk people with the 5 lugs.

I will repeat......I have a 4 lug car. The brembo's are listed for a 5 lug car.

I see that the Brembo's are for four lug people only. I wish I would have known.

They are still $95 + shipping which is $35 more than I paid for mine.

I would have been willing to upgrade for $35, but I already put them on.

the 4-lug front Brembo's are $95 SHIPPED....you gotta read more carefully and probably several times through.

Funny thing that everyone is having trouble with their brakes....I'm at just over 70K miles and not a problem out of them yet...though I do expect that I'll have to change at least my pads soon.

I should add that almost all of my miles are highway miles.

I have 98000 kms on my 01LX 2.0 (disc/ drum ). I still have 1/8" of pad on the fronts , Not sure about the rears brake shoes . I figure that i will have to replace the front pads in about 10K . At that time I am going to put sloted rotors and carbon fiber pads on the front .
When I have my 1st gen I got 180,000 kms out of the stock rotors and went through 2 sets of pads . The rears brake shoes were fine at that point and could have gone longer but I replaced them at the same time

Lug Torque

One thing everyone should note about your brakes as well, if the wheels are not torqued correctly, especially with alloy wheels, the rotors may warp more easily. Make sure if you plan to remove the wheels on your own, you have a torque wrench to properly tighten the lugs. I think 105lbs is about right.... A lot of shops over torque the wheels which may be why some of you are having rotors warp at 20k-40k miles.
