Angry Problem with wheels

I've had my car for a couple of months now, and I put 16 000Kms on it already. I went to get the oil changed last week and I was told that I had apparently hit a curve cause my allignment was off. So I got the alignment done. Anyway, I've noticed lately a strange noise comming from the right side of the car, the wheels seem to make a skreeching noise. Any of you know what it might be from. Could it have anything to do with me hitting a curb (I don't even remember doing that), the mechanics told me there was nothing bent, what should I do?

by the sound of the noise I would say you need new wheel bearings, the dealer should know whats wrong. take then with a test drive with you in the car.

I took it to the dealer today and I made the mechanic listen, the noise seems to come from the rear break pads. He said he's going to see exactly what it is later this week. Anybody else had any problems with their break pads? They are definetly not worn since it's a manual car (I downshift more than I break) and since it's only got 16k.
