MP3 Tower Bar Paint Color #

Anyone know the color code for the MP3 strut tower bar's yellow? I want to paint other things under my hood and my calipers this color, and was curious if anyone knew the color code? Thanks for your time!

Vivid Yellow [Sunburst Yellow], color code HZ (limited color)

If its the same color as the Yellow it came on the car.

Can I buy this paint at any auto store, or do I have to specially order it from my dealer?

I found where in the FAQ it states it is Vivid Yellow and color code HZ as was previously mentioned, but it doesn't specifically say whether auto stores carry it or if I must specially order it from my dealer...

chances are you will NOT find it premixed in standard spray cans at an autoparts store.....you will probably have to get it mixed at a store that deals in automotive paints.

you could always try using your favorite search engine (yahoo, google, lycos, etc) and look.....you just never know what you might find out there.

What I planned to do was paint the stuff I added under my hood the same yellow as my strut tower bar. And as soon as I find the paint, if I can, I will get my Injen. Is there anything besides high temp. paint that could work and would last under the hood?

PS I have been searching for 30-40 minutes and found no auto paint online that would be helpful.

okay...I used YAHOO....put in "AUTOMOTIVE PAINT" and presto chango...the second item in the search data is...

Levine Auto.....they sell custom mixed SPRAY CANS of paint for $20 each......

here is theire website...

http://www.levineautoparts.com/spraycanofto.html

you will need to know the paint code for the yellow...its HZ.

have fun.

Looks good to me, I was using Google. I am going to stop by a few places around here, too. Thanks for looking it up, and I was wondering if the touch up paint will be fine under the hood, or if I need a high temp. paint for that?

Since your strut bar is not painted with high temp paint....and as long as you are not painting stuff that is going to come in direct contact with your exhaust manifold or the engine block...you will be fine.....

after all....its not like the bottom side of your hood is painted with anything special.. :{D

have fun!!
