Lowering car question

I herd if your lower your car your MPG (miles Per Gallon) improves because your closer to the center of gravity of something, dose anyone know if this is true or not
thanks

i don't think this is true cause i still get about 26mpg in the city. when i drove up to phoenix, i got about 29.5mpg going 80mph. before i lowered my car, i was getting the same numbers roughly, so i don't think it really matters.

I doubt it...being closer to the center of gravity will have more to do with stability. I have heard some ricers argue about it, and never thought about it much. If your car has a smaller drag coefficient after lowering you will get better gas mileage. Not sure if that is the case on lowering a Protege or not...
